His photographs reveal a deep professional affinity: the two shared Milanese roots, degrees from the Polytechnic, an interest in social issues and urban transformation, and, even more so, the moral perspective through which they engaged with the world. Having grown up in a Milano where industrial civilization was on the wane, they found in that climate an opportunity to create a new language that did not, however, forget tradition.
