Leopold Banchini

Based in Geneva, Leopold Banchini Architects aims to develop an eclectic and non-dogmatic architecture celebrating simplicity, economy, and sustainability. Architecture is seen as a tool to support unexpected and diverse ways of living together, where the poetry of construction is valued over composition and where direct answers are given to unique sites and social contexts. The office encourages using alternative models of production instead of commercial methods, and seeks to expand the traditional methods of project-making using DIY cultures as means of emancipation. This issue features works that have resulted from their numerous collaborations.
