Carlo Mollino

Starting with an analysis of the project for the furnishings of Casa Albonico in Turin, this volume continues with a re-reading of the work of Carlo Mollino (Turin, 1905-1973) to highlight a series of aspects that have not yet been sufficiently explored but are fundamental for understanding his approach to design: from his personal obsession with form to his links with the later developments of Futurism and his interests in craftsmanship, interior design, engineering, physics and aerodynamics. Essays, texts by critics, artists and researchers, drawings, photographs, letters, documents and unpublished testimonies reveal the complexity of one of the fundamental figures of twentieth-century architecture and design.
