Almost ten years after its first publication, 'Incompiuto' – defined by the authors as “the most important Italian architectural style from the post-war period to the present day” – has taken on growing cultural significance in the debate on the country’s architectural landscape. The volume represents the first and only systematic investigation, the result of over fifteen years of field research, into a much-discussed but not yet fully recognised reality: the widespread presence, throughout Italy, of buildings and infrastructure whose construction was never completed.
